Robert Pinkus Seals a Trio of Dockland Deals

Posted on 29th March 2010

A hat trick of deals at Preston’s docklands have kick-started the New Year in style with the flurry of property activity coming as a welcome boost to the local business community at the marina.

Robert Pinkus & Co. has negotiated three individual deals on behalf the Landlords at the respective properties. BTCV, a volunteer conservation organisation has taken 1,500 sq ft at Unit 1 Lockside Office Park from Landlords Ercor Ltd. on a three-year lease. Right at Home Ltd., providing in-home companion and personal care for independent living, has taken 940 sq ft of waterfront accommodation at 18 Riversway Business Village on a three year lease from Lanceshire Ltd. and NFU Mutual has also secured 1,056 sq ft sq ft of office space overlooking the marina from private Landlords at 5 Riversway Business Village.

Mark Harrison, surveyor at Robert Pinkus & Co. said, “This is a huge boost to the Riversway development and a really positive start to the year. We have some great properties currently available on the docks and this early activity in the first quarter of 2010 is really encouraging.  Hopefully this is a sign that we are leaving the doom and gloom of the last 18 months behind us and Preston’s commercial property sector is looking up. The docklands have always proved popular. It’s an attractive location that combines the benefits of an striking outlook with close proximity to the city centre and good local amenities, easy motorway access and more often than not, designated parking; a requirement that is difficult to come by in the city centre.”
