Preston Market Trader Moves to New Retail Premises

Mother and son Ellen and Norman Young, who run Banana King Fruit & Veg, have decided to buy their own new shop in Orchard Street, rather than move to the new Preston market which is due to open in February next year.
The family run business and one of the original tenants of Preston’s indoor market since the 1970’s, hopes to be in their new shop and trading before Christmas.
Normans said, “We’ve been very happy in the old market hall and we really wish the new place every success, but we won’t be part of it. This shop came up, it’s a fantastic location and our customers won’t be inconvenienced. We are just yards from the new market.”
