Posted on 21st October 2011

A leading insurance broker has moved into prominent offices located in a popular East Preston employment area. Lorica Insurance Brokers who deal with a complete range of commercial, personal and specialist insurance requirements, have taken 3,875 sq ft first floor offices from landlords Centodec Developments at Citygate.

The property is a purpose built, detached office building located at junction 31A of the M6. Robert Pinkus & Co. acted on behalf of the landlord. The Citygate development adjoins the popular Red Scar Industrial Estate and nearby occupiers include E H Booth & Co., Lancashire County Council , Mondi, Interlink, Volkswagen and Spar.

Lorica Insurance Brokers relocated office quarters at Citygate is their northern most UK branch and fifth regional office in the company’s portfolio along with offices in Birmingham, Hemel Hempstead, Cornwall and Billericay. The company has outgrown its current Moor Park Avenue address where it had been for 25 years and needed a modern space to reflect the company’s culture and meet its objective of becoming one of the leading brokers in the region.

David Martland, Branch Director for Preston said, “The move is a statement of intent that Preston will continue to be a hub of the company’s North West insurance broking activity for the foreseeable future.

“Lorica’s business model is different in that our success is strongly focused on talent. We look to recruit successful and experienced brokers and give them the best possible working environment for our staff and the Citygate development – which is well positioned on the major road network, fits the bill perfectly.”

A further 3,875 sq ft is available on the ground floor and benefits from features such as full raised floor access, suspended ceilings and recessed lighting, double glazing, monitored security cameras, DDA compliant, lift and kitchenette.
