Posted on 9th November 2009

Maple Grove Developments Ltd. has signed leading active lifestyle clothing brand Fat Face to their mixed use city centre development at Marketgate, Ripon, leaving just one unit of 9,838 sq ft over two floors available at the scheme.

High street retailers Fat Face will take 2,124 sq ft at the development on a new 15 year lease at £45,000 per annum, boosting their presence to 170 stores across the UK and Ireland.

Fat Face is the newest retailer to join the mixed use scheme and will trade alongside a 32,000 sq ft Booths supermarket and 12,000 sq ft Argos Extra, which benefits from a new 188 space pay and display car park to the front of the shops.

The first and second floors above Booths have been let to Edge Fitness for a gym and health and beauty treatment rooms with Booths also occupying part of their first floor for a coffee shop. All 21 residential apartments to the rear of the scheme have now been sold.

Graham Pilkington of Maple Grove Developments said, “We are very excited about the new signing and extend a warm welcome to Fat Face to Marketgate. It’s a great brand and one that fits well with both the demographics of the town and the other occupiers at the scheme, and we hope that trade proves to be as successful for them as it has been so far for both Booths and Argos Extra.”

Quoting rents for the last remaining unit are available through agents for the development Robert Pinkus & Co. on 01772 769000 and Mowbray Gill on 01244 409555.
