A company specialising in careers advice and personal development has signed a deal to take prime office space at a landmark building in Preston city centre as its new Lancashire base.

IGEN Future Pathways has taken 3,300 sq ft of modern office accommodation at Norwest Court from Landlords WR Estates, on a five year lease at an undisclosed sum. Robert Pinkus & Co. acted on behalf of the Landlords. The property fronts Guildhall Street in the heart of Preston’s busy commercial district and is close to all major banking and retail facilities.

IGEN Future Pathways is a not for profit partnership company formed in 1996 to provide careers services in Leeds. Formed by a partnership between Leeds City Council, Leeds TEC, Universities, colleges and business representatives, the company still comprises a mix of local partners from the business, education and public sectors and is growing from strength to strength. IGEN currently has offices in Northumberland, Yorkshire and Humberside, Tees Valley, the North East of England and are currently expanding into the North West.

Philip Styan, Assistant Director of IGEN Future Pathways said, “As we’ve expanded we were looking for high specification city centre premises within Preston and we are more than happy that Norwest Court fits the bill. We are pleased with the help and support we have received from WR Estates who have made the move so easy.”

Paul Wrigglesworth from WR Estates said, “We are delighted to have secured IGEN as our new tenants at Norwest Court. This latest letting is testament to the quality of the extensive refurbishment we have undertaken.”

“We explored a number of options with IGEN to tailor space to their specific requirements, but ultimately a combination of the building’s location and the quality of the common areas were the driving factors in securing the deal.”

Space is still available at the property, which is arranged over eight floors. The building recently underwent a £400,000 refurbishment and is now fully DDA compliant. The accommodation is light and airy and serviced by two lifts in the feature entrance. The office space available on each floor ranges in size from 1,596 sq ft to 3,316 sq ft and can be combined to create larger suites.

The property comes with designated on site parking, a rare and much sought after benefit in a busy city centre location. Additional car parking for the building can be also found at numerous municipal and private car parks for contract parking and also short-term parking can be found on the street nearby.
