Blackpool Confectioner to Sell Clifton Road Factory

Local commercial property consultants Robert Pinkus & Co. LLP have been appointed to market one of the factory and warehouse premises of Blackpool-based sweets manufacturer Tangerine Confectionery Ltd, following an internal relocation of their Clifton Road facility to other factories in their manufacturing network.
As the UK’s leading independent manufacturer of sugar confectionery and branded popcorn such as Barratts, Butterkist and Henry Goode’s Liquorice, Tangerine Confectionery operates six factories across five UK manufacturing sites including Vicarage Lane Blackpool, Cleckheaton, Pontefract, Liverpool and York. Tangerine acquired the Clifton Road site as part of a larger acquisition of the confectionery division of Toms of Denmark in 2006.
The former food production facility on Clifton Road is on the market for sale with Robert Pinkus & Co. and has the potential for re-development, subject to obtaining the necessary planning consent. Agents are inviting offers for the freehold interest in the site.
Located in an extremely prominent and busy commercial location, the 86,234 sq ft factory sits on a site of 1.8 acres at the entrance of Clifton Road Trading Estate, one of Blackpool’s premier industrial parks, and has excellent access to junction 4 of the M55 motorway.
